2020, the year #Ellen gets cancelled.

Cancel culture has been around for a good while but boy is it firing on all cylinders during this pandemic year!!! People have tons of time on their hands! Wow. And it looks like no rock will be left unturned. Ellens time has run its course. Crazy shit. Imagine. Ellen ‘be kind to one another’ DeGeneres!!
Here’s the thing though. I am not really that surprised. I watched her sitcom. I watched her talk show when I could. She is funny. She’s helped a lot of people along the way but I never truly bought into all of that. The rumors regarding her true colors and the toxic environment started long before 2020 decided to rear its ugly head. Believe it or not and it may come as odd but what tipped me off that she really isn’t a nice person, is some of the games she had her audience play. And that includes her game of games show… I have always felt they are mean spirited. People actually putting themselves in embarrassing situations so she could have a good laugh at their expense. Imagine, I did a quick search today on Twitter for the hashtag #ellen and this….

Boommmm!!!! Validation! I am not alone.

As for her apology. After all that silence I don’t think it was much of one. There really isn’t a full blown ownership of what went wrong if you know what I mean. Honestly I don’t know how she can come back from this. The rumors are already starting to build up.
